Rights

Sealed Library is for work that is free to publish. Four license types only. If a work is in copyright and the rights holder has not granted it, it does not belong here — not as a “temporary” seal, not as a scan, not as a “fixup.”

Public domain
Copyright has expired, or the work was dedicated to the public domain. Evidence is still required. Public domain is a legal fact, not a vibe.
Creative Commons
A Creative Commons license that allows public reading of the full text. All-rights-reserved commercial scans are out.
Author grant
The living author grants this specific edition to the library. The grant is recorded; the sealed bytes still cannot be silently replaced later.
Estate grant
The rights holder after death grants a specific edition, with the same immutability as an author grant.

Mods (translations, narrations, AI summaries) carry their own rights and an AI flag when a model produced them. A mod cannot inherit the root’s seal or replace its storage URI.
